SADD and YAC are excited to host Dr. Hoefliner and his wife on 
Tuesday, April 4th at 6:30. Please come to this important event to hear about the harsh reality of teenage drinking and driving. At 6:00, a free dinner and coffee stand will be provided. There will also be a free raffle full of Evergreen and other goodies for anyone who attends. As we get closer to prom and summer, this would be a beneficial message for both parents and students to hear. We hope to see you all there. 

The EHS quiz team participated in a NAQT tournament last Saturday at Eastwood High School.  Seven members were available to attend since the tournament was connected to Spring break and there were several athletic events on that day as well.  The team members who attended, however, continued to represent Evergreen at a high level.

Out of 12 teams at the tournament, the Vikings placed 3rd.  In addition, the quiz team qualified to compete in the Small School NATIONAL Academic Tournament in Chicago at the end of April.  This tournament hosts 90 schools from around the country to compete against each other. Members that competed in the qualifying tournament were Austin Cobb, Adam Dumas, Dillon Bick, Jonah Blanchard, Kenny Cutcher, Nick Ekleberry, and Jacob Baranowski 

The Varsity baseball travelled to a blustery Tontogony Ohio and were defeated in a pair of games on SaturdayThe varsity returns to action this afternoon when they travel to Swanton for 5 pm non league contest.

Did you know that every 2 seconds someone in the U.S. is in need of blood and that while 37% of the population is eligible to donate blood, less than 10% do each year?  If you ever wanted to do your part for blood donation, then how about donating blood at the Student Council Red Cross Blood Drive?!  This year's blood drive will be held on Tuesday, April 11 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.   The only requirements to donate blood are that you be at least 16 years old, turn in a permission slip to the office in order to donate if you are under 18 by Tuesday, April 4, weigh at least 110 lbs.,and be in general good health by the date of the drive. During the last week of March, student council members will be visiting students during A and B lunch with a sign up sheet.  They will also be able to answer any of your questions, so just tell a student council member which block you'd like to donate and they'll sign you up! Come support this great cause and please donate blood to save a life.

Attention seniors, Mr. A. Wagner emailed you a link for a yearbook survey. Please take 10 minutes to complete it by March 31st. The responses will be included in this year's yearbook. Thank you! Seniors, if you are looking for a job for the summer or a permanent job, Northwest State Community College is hosting a job fail on April 11th.  Eighty employers, who are looking to hire graduates, will be at the fair.  Stop by the guidance office for more information.

Its student council election time!  If you are interested in running for a student council officer or representative position for the 2017-2018 school year, see Mrs. Dicken in Room 405 for registration forms.  All registration forms, including teacher recommendations, are due back to Mrs. Dicken in Room 405 by Friday, March 31 in order to be included on this year's ballot.

Attention students: Junior class and prom would like to thank you for your overwhelming participation at our Panera dine-out fundraising event. Since that event was so successful, we are planning another event on Wednesday, March 29th at the Chipotle on Central. Like the Panera event, all you need to do is show them the image on social media, pick up a flyer in the office, or hang on to one that will be distributed to you by your Enrichment teacher next week. Don't forget that by eating at Chipotle on March 29th.
