There will be an enrichment meeting Tuesday, Oct. 17th for any freshman boy interested in playing basketball this winter. The meeting is in room 308  If you cannot attend this meeting you need to see Coach Nagy by the end of school Tuesday.
Attention Students:  If you did not get your picture taken during schedule pick up day or you need your picture retaken, Wednesday, Oct. 25th is the day. Bring your unwanted pictures with you or your order form if you want to purchase pictures. Order forms are available in the high school office. 

Attention all 9-11 grade students interested in participating in CCP next year: there will be a State mandated Informational meeting this 
Thursday, Oct. 19 @ 6pm in the Media Center. If you cannot make this meeting there will be another one in November or one in December that you may attend instead. You do not need to attend all 3 meetings. You must attend 1 of them to participate next year.

Saturday against TCS. Come out and cheer on your Lady Vikes this Saturday at sectional tournaments. 
The Voice of Democracy Competition is now open. This competition is open to all students in grades 9-12. The only requirement is writing and recording an audio essay on this year's theme, "American History: Our Hope for the Future." The competition is sponsored by the VFW, and prizes and scholarships will be awarded at various levels. See your social studies, English teachers or counseling office for an application and details. Deadline to submit an entry

For those students who are college bound: Did you know that if you attend Heidelberg University and complete a bachelor's degree in any major 
within four years with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA, Heidelberg will allow you stay an extra year and earn your Master of Business Administration degree tuition-free?? Check out the counseling office for more information.
ATTENTION SENIORS: Any senior who is planning to attend college should be applying for the Evergreen Education Association Scholarship. This award is $500 and is given by the Evergreen teachers. One student from the senior class will win this award...and you can't win unless you apply. There are no ACT scores or GAP requirement. In fact, your name is not even included on your entry. Don't let this local scholarship get by you...the deadline is November 3.

The FFA are selling FFA T-shirts!  Long sleeved blue tie dye and short sleeved dark gray.  Slogan is "I Can, We Will".  If you would like to purchase a T-shirt please see the handouts in the High School office or an FFA Officer.  T-shirts are available to anyone who would like to purchase one, FFA, member or not.  The slogan speaks for all of us! 

Attention students: Are you looking for some extra cash? Need a small part-time job? Stop down in the Counseling office. We have a local opportunity for you. Must be willing to do some heavy lifting and labor intensive work. 
Attention FFA members!  The annual FFA Fruit Sale will kick off this Friday!  Do you have your customers lined up?  Forms will be distributed along with other information before, during and after School.  You may contact Ms Hanifan in the morning in the Cafeteria before school or in her office after school.  If you need a form and are unable to see her at either of those times you may contact her via email or contact an FFA officer.  We will make every effort to get forms to those members who are not currently in an Ag Class, but who are taking one next semester.  

Attention all students and staff:  For their community service project Anna Hite, Chasity McCullough, and Travis Markley are hosting a Meet the Candidate Night for Evergreen School Board on Monday October 16th from 6-7 pm in the high school gym. There are 5 candidates running for 3 positions on the school board.  Come listen to the candidates discuss why they are running and the goals they have if elected to Evergreen's School Board.  Refreshments will be served!

Seniors -- did you know beginning October 1, you may begin applying for college financial aid? It's true, the Free Application For Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, opens for students planning to attend college next year. To learn more about the FAFSA process, you and your parents are invited to attend  the Financial Aid Night hosted by Lourdes University on Wednesday, November 1 at 6:30 pm at the Franciscan Center. Attention Sophomores!
Nominations are being accepted for the Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership Seminar. One sophomore will represent Evergreen High School at this leadership seminar held in June 2018 at Ohio University in Ada, Ohio. The cost is $225. See the counseling office for details.

Seniors, Juniors, and Sophomores who are starting the college search process -- Several college representatives are scheduled to visit EHS this fall. Colleges include the University of Toledo, Bluffton University, BGSU, Cleveland State University, and many more.

In order to attend the college presentation, you must sign up outside the counseling office window on the respective college sheet so a pass can be issued to you on the specific day. Warning: do NOT sign up to meet with every rep, only the ones that truly interest you!
