Our Victorious, Independent, Knowledge seeking, Imaginations are the Next Generation; that’s what Evergreen Middle School Vikings are made of!

Evergreen Middle School is located in the renovated former high school building and is attached to the new high school building.  EMS provides instruction to more than 300 students in grades 6-8.

Besides focusing on the four core subjects of math, science, social studies and ELA, students also participate in career oriented classes which includes art, financial literacy, Family Consumer Science, and Career Connections.  This year, we are introducing the availability for our 8th grade students to take Spanish I for high school credit. Also this year, Evergreen Middle School will begin our 1:1 Chromebook Initiative whereby every student in grades 6-8 will be provided a Chromebook, protective case, earbuds, and a charger in order to give our students an advantage in a competitively changing world.  Digital citizenship, experiencing online curriculum, and universal technological skills are vital to our students’ future success. In addition, sixth grade students enjoy a four day outdoor education program at Camp Palmer each spring. Intervention programs are available as well as an after school homework club. Students participate in many classroom and non-classroom activities in which the school and community lend their support.  Some of these programs include the Student Council, National Junior Honor Society, OHSAA approved athletics, band, choir, library board and quiz bowl. Our goal at EMS is to provide a high quality, college and career centered, technologically based, education so our students are prepared with the knowledge, positive life-long habits and social attitudes to become productive members in our ever advancing and changing world. We at Evergreen Middle School are devoted the Middle Child and their development as they prepare for the high school and beyond.
